What this code means

The ECM detected that the electronic throttle body signal is outside the valid operating range. The throttle position voltage is either too high or too low for the current operating conditions.

Symptoms

• Check Engine Light
• Engine enters limp mode
• Limited throttle response
• Engine may only idle

Common causes

• Faulty throttle body position sensor
• Open or short in throttle body wiring
• Connector pin damage
• Throttle body internal failure
• ECM reference voltage fault

Diagnostic steps

1. Test throttle body signal voltage at connector
