What this code means

The DME detected a severe misfire on Cylinder 7 and has shut off its fuel injector to protect the catalytic converter. This code appears on BMW V8 and V12 engines only.

Symptoms

• Check Engine Light flashing
• Rough running
• Significant power loss
• Engine vibration

• Faulty ignition coil Cylinder 7
• Worn spark plug Cylinder 7
• Injector failure
