What this code means

The ECU detected that the second throttle position potentiometer signal is outside its expected voltage range. VW/Audi throttle bodies use dual potentiometers for redundancy and safety.

Symptoms

• Check Engine Light
• Reduced power mode
• Throttle response erratic
• Engine may idle only

Common causes

• Faulty throttle body unit
• Damaged wiring to throttle position sensor 2
• Corroded connector
• Throttle body contamination affecting sensor
