What this code means

The PCM has detected an intermittent loss of the crankshaft position sensor or camshaft position sensor signal. The signal drops out momentarily during engine operation, which can cause misfires and stalling.

• Faulty CKP or CMP sensor
• Damaged sensor wiring or connector

1. Monitor CKP and CMP sensor signals on scan tool for dropouts
2. Wiggle test sensor wiring while engine is running
3. Inspect sensor connectors for corrosion or looseness
4. Measure sensor air gap
5. Inspect reluctor ring for missing or damaged teeth
