What this code means
The PCM has detected a malfunction in the Electronic Throttle System throttle motor. The motor that physically moves the throttle plate is not responding correctly to PCM commands, which severely limits engine power.
Symptoms
- Check Engine Light
- Severe loss of power
- Engine limited to idle speed
- ETC warning light illuminated
- Throttle unresponsive to pedal input
