What this code means
The PCM has detected a malfunction in the Auto Shutdown (ASD) relay circuit. The ASD relay provides power to the fuel injectors, ignition coils, oxygen sensor heaters, and other critical engine management components.
Symptoms
- Check Engine Light
- Engine may not start
- Engine stalls and will not restart
- Intermittent no-start condition
- Loss of injector and coil power
Common causes
- Faulty ASD relay
- Wiring open or short in ASD relay circuit
