What this code means
The PCM has detected that the Tumble Generator Valve 2 on the left-hand cylinder bank is stuck in the open position. This is the left bank counterpart of P1090.
Symptoms
- Check Engine Light
- Reduced low-load efficiency
- Slightly rough idle
- Higher emissions at idle

- Carbon buildup on LH TGV
- Failed LH TGV actuator
- Broken linkage on LH side
- LH TGV shaft binding

- Command TGV 2 closed and monitor position
- Inspect LH TGV valve for carbon
- Test LH TGV actuator motor
- Check LH linkage condition
- Test actuator circuit
