What this code means

The PCM has detected a malfunction in the Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor 2 circuit. This redundant sensor provides a backup throttle demand signal for safety. A fault in either APP sensor triggers reduced power mode.

Symptoms

• Reduced power mode activated
• Engine limited to low RPM

• Slow throttle response
