What this code means

The PCM detected that the AIR system is not functioning properly on Bank 2. Same operating principle as P1415 but for the opposite bank.

Symptoms

• Check Engine Light
• Failed emissions test
• Cold start rough idle
• Increased cold-start emissions

Common causes

• Faulty AIR check valve Bank 2
• AIR pump failure
• Restricted AIR hose Bank 2
• Relay or fuse issue
• Carbon buildup in passages

Diagnostic steps

1. Check AIR pump relay and fuse
2. Inspect Bank 2 AIR check valve
3. Test AIR pump operation
4. Check vacuum lines
5. Monitor Bank 2 O2 sensor during AIR test

Repair notes

Inspect Bank 2 check valve for restriction. Replace AIR pump or check valve as needed.
