What this code means

The PCM has detected insufficient or excessive purge flow in the Evaporative Emission Control System. The purge valve is not controlling fuel vapor flow from the charcoal canister to the intake manifold as expected.

Symptoms

• Check Engine Light
• Rough idle if purge valve stuck open
• Fuel odor
• Failed emissions test

• Faulty purge solenoid valve stuck open or closed
• Cracked or blocked purge hoses
• Charcoal canister saturated or blocked
• Vacuum leak in EVAP system
