Preparation

  1. Park on level ground, place in P, engage parking brake.
  2. Exit ALL doors with the key fob away from the vehicle. Wait at least 2 minutes for HV systems to fully de-energize, even on this non-HV job.

    Place a transmission jack or a second floor jack lightly under the center of the sway bar to support its weight once the brackets are loosened. The bar will drop slightly when unbolted.

Reassembly

  1. Reinstall front wheels and hand-thread lug nuts.
  2. Lower the vehicle until the wheels just touch the ground, then torque lug nuts to OEM specification — refer to Tesla Service Manual.
  3. Fully lower the vehicle.
  4. Reconnect the 48V low-voltage battery.
  5. Exit Jack Mode via the touchscreen and allow the air suspension to re-level to Standard ride height.
  6. Verify air suspension reaches and holds normal ride height with no warnings on the touchscreen.

Verification

  • Confirm no suspension, ride-height, or stability-control fault messages appear on the touchscreen after a key cycle.
