🚨 2016 Lada Largus: Emergency Neutral
The 2016 Largus with automatic transmission uses a conventional console-mounted shift lever with a mechanical shift lock button on the shifter itself.

⚠️ Chock the wheels first — neutral means the car can roll. Set the parking brake while you work, never stand downhill of the vehicle, and try a 12-volt jump before any override: power fixes most stuck-in-park problems instantly.
The procedure
- Ensure the vehicle is on a level surface and apply the parking brake firmly.
- Turn the ignition key to ACC or ON position if possible.
- Locate the shift lock override access: on Largus models there is typically a small cover or slot near the shifter base on the console, usually on the right side or front of the shifter surround.
- Remove the small plastic cover by prying gently with a flathead screwdriver or similar tool.
- Insert the screwdriver into the override slot and press down or push forward (direction depends on mechanism orientation) while simultaneously pressing the button on the shifter and moving it to Neutral.
- If no override slot is visible, the Largus may use a simpler mechanical interlock—try pressing firmly on the shifter button while pulling upward on the shifter with moderate force.
Shift-lock override location
Generally near the shifter base on the console; check right side or front of shifter surround for a small plastic cover—exact location varies by trim
With zero electrical power
With no 12V power, turn the key to unlock the steering column if needed. The shift lock override is mechanical and will function without power. If the vehicle has a mechanical parking brake (handbrake lever), this is not affected by power loss.
