🚨 2010 Lamborghini Murcielago: Emergency Neutral
The Murciélago uses an e-gear automated manual transmission with a sequential gate shifter on the center console, essentially a manual gearbox with automated clutch and shifting.

⚠️ Chock the wheels first — neutral means the car can roll. Set the parking brake while you work, never stand downhill of the vehicle, and try a 12-volt jump before any override: power fixes most stuck-in-park problems instantly.
The procedure
- Ensure the vehicle is on a flat surface and parking brake is engaged
- The e-gear system requires 12V power to disengage the transmission; with a completely dead battery, the transmission remains locked in gear
- If you have ANY 12V power available (jump pack, jump from another vehicle), connect it to the battery terminals under the front hood
- With power restored, turn ignition to ON position (do not need to start engine)
- Press and hold the brake pedal
- Move the shifter to the neutral (N) position in the gate
- If the battery is completely dead and cannot be jumped, the vehicle CANNOT be shifted to neutral mechanically - it must be loaded onto a flatbed with wheels off the ground or dollies under the drive wheels
- For towing preparation, disconnect the driveshaft if rear wheels must remain on ground (requires professional service)
With zero electrical power
The e-gear automated manual transmission has no mechanical shift-lock override bypass. Without any electrical power, the transmission cannot be placed in neutral. The vehicle must be transported on a flatbed or with drive wheels lifted. A jump-start battery pack is the only way to enable neutral selection.
