The procedure
- Ensure the vehicle is on a level surface and apply the parking brake if functional.
- The MG4 is a battery electric vehicle - if the high-voltage system is operational, press the brake pedal and turn the rotary selector to N (Neutral).
- If the 12V battery is dead and you cannot access electronic neutral, the vehicle MUST be transported on a flatbed truck with all wheels off the ground.
- Do NOT tow this vehicle with any wheels on the ground - the electric motor is directly connected to the drive wheels and towing will cause severe damage to the motor and inverter.
