The 2026 Cadillac Optiq represents the brand's entry into the compact luxury electric SUV segment, slotting below the Lyriq in Cadillac's EV lineup. Built on GM's Ultium platform, this dual-motor all-wheel-drive configuration delivers electric power to both axles for confident all-weather capability. The Optiq shares its fundamental architecture with other GM electric vehicles but receives Cadillac-specific tuning, suspension calibration, and luxury appointments. As a relatively new model, maintenance focuses primarily on brake system service, tire rotation intervals, HVAC system care, and battery thermal management rather than traditional internal combustion engine servicing.
Dual-motor AWD electric powertrain using GM Ultium battery platform
Standard regenerative braking reduces conventional brake wear compared to ICE vehicles
Battery thermal management system requires specific coolant specifications and service intervals
Tire rotation intervals particularly important due to instant torque delivery characteristics
High-voltage system service requires specialized training and diagnostic equipment
Fitment notes: 12V auxiliary battery; powers vehicle accessories when high-voltage system is off
