Parts

  • Driver side wiper blade assembly × 1 — Use OEM specification or aftermarket 15-inch hook-arm blade
  • Passenger side wiper blade assembly × 1 — Use OEM specification or aftermarket 15-inch hook-arm blade

Preparation

  1. Park vehicle on level surface and turn off ignition
  2. Lift wiper arms away from windshield until they lock in the raised service position
  3. Inspect wiper arm spring tension while raised to ensure proper operation

Procedure

  1. 1
    Remove driver side wiper blade
With the driver side wiper arm raised and locked, locate the hook-arm connection point where the blade assembly attaches to the wiper arm. Squeeze or lift the release tab on the blade assembly while sliding the blade away from the hooked end of the wiper arm. The blade should slide off the hook once the locking tab is disengaged.
  2. 2
    Remove passenger side wiper blade
Repeat the removal process for the passenger side wiper blade. Squeeze or lift the release tab and slide the blade assembly off the hook-arm connection.
  3. 3
    Inspect wiper arms
With both blades removed, examine the wiper arm hooks for damage, corrosion, or excessive wear. Check that the spring tension holds the arm away from the windshield when raised. Clean any debris or corrosion from the hook ends using a wire brush if necessary.
  4. 4
Install new driver side wiper blade
Align the hook-arm adapter on the new wiper blade assembly with the curved hook on the driver side wiper arm. Slide the blade assembly onto the hook until the locking tab clicks into place. Gently tug on the blade to verify it is securely locked to the arm.
  5. 5
Install new passenger side wiper blade
Repeat the installation process for the passenger side. Slide the new blade assembly onto the wiper arm hook until the locking tab engages. Verify the blade is secure by tugging gently.
  6. 6
    Lower wiper arms to windshield
Carefully lower both wiper arms back to the windshield. Do not allow the arms to snap down forcefully, as this can damage the new blades or chip the windshield. Guide each arm down gently by hand until the blade rests against the glass.

Reassembly

  1. No disassembly was required for this procedure

Verification

  • Turn ignition to accessory position and activate windshield wipers to verify both blades sweep cleanly across the glass without chatter or lifting
  • Check that blades return to proper park position at the base of the windshield when wipers are turned off
  • Spray washer fluid and verify blades clear water effectively without streaking
  • Inspect blade-to-arm connection points visually to confirm both assemblies are fully seated and locked
