Preparation

    Drain coolant from reservoir
    Use a fluid extraction pump or disconnect the lower radiator hose at the reservoir to drain coolant into the drain pan. If extracting, insert tube to bottom of reservoir and pump until empty. Alternatively, pinch and slide the hose clamp down the lower hose, then carefully pull hose from reservoir nipple.

    Locate the upper hose connection on top of the reservoir. Use hose clamp pliers or flathead screwdriver to reposition the clamp away from the reservoir nipple. Twist the hose gently while pulling to remove it from the reservoir. Expect some residual coolant spillage.

    Locate the two mounting bolts securing the reservoir to the radiator support bracket on the passenger side of the engine bay. Use an 8mm socket to remove both bolts completely. Support the reservoir with one hand as you remove the second bolt.
