- 2Access compressor inletLocate the AC compressor on the front passenger side of the engine. The suction line (larger diameter) connects to the rear port of the compressor. Verify system pressure is at 0 PSI using manifold gauges before proceeding.
- 3Remove suction line from compressorUsing appropriate wrench, loosen and remove the suction line fitting from the rear of the compressor. Remove and discard the old O-rings. Cap or plug the open line immediately to prevent moisture and debris entry.
- 4Drain existing oil from compressor (if applicable)If compressor was recently replaced or you are measuring existing oil, remove the compressor from vehicle per service manual procedure. Drain oil from compressor into graduated measuring cup by rotating compressor shaft and draining from suction port. Record amount for reference.
