Preparation
- Park vehicle on level surface and engage parking brake
- Allow engine to cool completely for at least 30 minutes
- Disconnect negative battery cable and wait 2 minutes for system capacitors to discharge
- Remove engine cover by pulling upward on cover tabs
Procedure

- 3Remove throttle body mounting boltsLocate the four throttle body mounting bolts securing the throttle body to the intake manifold. Remove all four bolts using the appropriate socket, working in a criss-cross pattern to prevent binding. Keep bolts organized for reinstallation.

- 8Install throttle bodyRemove the rag from the intake manifold opening. Carefully position the throttle body onto the intake manifold, aligning it with the gasket and ensuring all four bolt holes line up. Press the throttle body gently into place.
- 9Install and torque mounting boltsThread all four throttle body mounting bolts by hand to prevent cross-threading.
