   Align the new mirror glass backing plate with the actuator mechanism, ensuring any locating tabs or ball joint socket are properly positioned. Starting at the inboard edge (closest to the door), press firmly on the mirror glass until the spring clips engage with the actuator. Work around the perimeter, applying even pressure until all clips snap into place. You should hear or feel distinct clicks as each clip engages.

   Gently attempt to pull the mirror glass away from the housing at multiple points to confirm all clips are fully engaged. The glass should be firmly secured with no excessive movement or rattling.

Reassembly
