Preparation

Open trunk and secure in fully open position

Procedure

Remove trunk interior side panel
Locate the trunk interior side panel on the side corresponding to the tail light being replaced. Remove the push-pin fasteners securing the panel to the trunk structure. These are typically located along the perimeter of the panel. Pull the panel away from the trunk wall to disengage any remaining clips and set aside.

Access tail light mounting hardware
With the panel removed, identify the tail light assembly mounting bolts visible from inside the trunk. There are 3 mounting bolts securing each tail light assembly to the body. These are accessible from the interior trunk cavity.

Disconnect tail light wiring harness
