Preparation

    Set up for valve seal removal - Cylinder 1
    Rotate crankshaft to bring cylinder 1 piston to TDC (compression stroke). Thread compressed air adapter into cylinder 1 spark plug hole. Apply 90-100 psi compressed air to hold valves in place. Verify air pressure is holding both valves closed before proceeding. Use valve spring compressor designed for overhead cam engines to compress first valve spring.
    ⚠️Maintain constant air pressure. If pressure is lost, valve can drop into cylinder requiring head removal.

    Remove valve keepers and springs - Cylinder 1

    Release air pressure from cylinder 1. Rotate crankshaft 180 degrees to bring cylinder 3 to TDC. Repeat steps 6-8 for cylinder 3. Then rotate crankshaft 180 degrees for cylinder 4, then again for cylinder 2. Follow firing order sequence: 1-3-4-2. For each cylinder, verify piston is at TDC before applying air pressure. Complete all 16 valve seals (4 cylinders x 4 valves each).
