Symptoms: Sudden loss of power and horrible metallic noise, Misfire codes on multiple cylinders, Coolant mixing with oil, Complete engine seizure in worst cases

Fix: The 3.7L PowerTech is notorious for valve seat recession and dropping seats into cylinders, destroying pistons, cylinder walls, and valves. Requires full engine replacement or rebuild with updated heads. 18-25 labor hours for used engine swap, 30-40+ for proper rebuild.

Fix: Overdrive solenoid pack and clutch failures are endemic. Cooler lines at radiator corrode and blow out. Solenoid replacement 4-6 hours if caught early; full rebuild 12-16 hours. Cooler lines 2-3 hours but often discovered after fluid loss causes transmission damage.
