Warnings

Preparation
- Ensure engine is completely cool to the touch

Check coolant reservoir level and fill to the FULL mark.
Reassembly
- Reinstall engine splash shield if removed
- Verify all hose clamps are properly positioned and tightened
- Double-check that no tools or parts were left in the engine bay
- Wipe up any spilled coolant from engine bay and ground
Verification
- Start engine and verify cooling fan activates when engine reaches operating temperature (typically 195-205°F)
- Listen for abnormal noises from the fan motor during operation
- Verify no coolant leaks at the upper radiator hose connection
- Check that fan speed increases appropriately when A/C is activated
- Confirm coolant level is at proper mark in reservoir after test drive
- Monitor engine temperature gauge during test drive to ensure normal operating temperature is maintained
