Throttle Unit Faulty Signal

What this code means

The ECM detected a faulty signal from the electronic throttle body unit. The throttle position signal is erratic, intermittent, or outside the expected voltage range.

Symptoms

• Check Engine Light
• Reduced power mode
• Erratic idle
• Poor throttle response
• ETC warning light

Common causes

• Faulty throttle body unit
• Carbon buildup on throttle plate affecting sensor
• Damaged wiring to throttle body
• Corroded throttle body connector
