Location
Port fuel injectors mounted in intake manifold, one per cylinder in fuel rail assembly
Pins
2-pin connector
Idle Frequency
25 Hz
Timebase
5ms/div
Voltage Scale
5V/div
Trigger
7V, falling edge
Wiring
Power: Pink (bank 1), Light Green (bank 2), Ground: Varies by cylinder position, ECM-controlled
Expected Voltage Range
At Idle
0V to 14V
At Higher RPM
0V to 14V
Expected Pattern
Square wave pulse with inductive spike at closing, pulse width 2.5-4.0ms at idle
Known-Good Waveform
Clean square wave dropping from 12-14V to near 0V when injector opens. Pulse width at idle typically 2.5-3.5ms (warmed up). When injector closes, inductive spike reaches 40-65V briefly, then returns to battery voltage. All six injectors should show pulse width within 0.3ms of each other at steady idle.
Common Failure Patterns
Pulse width significantly longer than other cylinders (>0.5ms difference), voltage spike absent or very weak
Cause: Clogged injector, failed injector winding, high resistance in harness or connector
Diagnostic Tips
2GR-FKS uses denso port injectors with typical resistance 13.4-14.6 ohms. Monitor fuel trim data simultaneously with waveform - injector flow imbalance often shows up in short-term fuel trim before setting misfire codes.
