The 2023 DB11 uses a traditional center console-mounted automatic transmission lever with electronic shift-by-wire control.

⚠️ Chock the wheels first — neutral means the car can roll. Set the parking brake while you work, never stand downhill of the vehicle, and try a 12-volt jump before any override: power fixes most stuck-in-park problems instantly.
The procedure
- Ensure the vehicle is on a level surface and parking brake is engaged (if functional).
- Locate the shift lock override cover on the center console—it is a small rectangular plastic cap directly adjacent to the shifter base on the right side.
- Use a flat-blade screwdriver or similar tool to carefully pry off the override cover cap.
- Insert the screwdriver or a similar flat tool into the revealed override slot and press down firmly.
- While holding the override down, move the shifter from Park to Neutral.
- If the electronic parking brake will not release due to no power, the vehicle must be loaded onto a flatbed with the rear wheels off the ground or using wheel dollies.

With zero electrical power
With zero electrical power, the shift lock override will still function mechanically to release the shifter. However, the electronic parking brake cannot be released without 12V power—the vehicle cannot be flat-towed and must be loaded onto a flatbed or transported with rear wheels lifted/dollied.
