The procedure
- Ensure the vehicle is securely chocked—the E-Ray has significant weight (3,900+ lbs) and the front electric motors can create unexpected movement
- Apply the electronic parking brake if any 12V power is available
- Attempt to put the vehicle in Tow Mode first: Press the brake pedal, then press and hold the Drive Mode button on the center console for approximately 5-10 seconds until 'Transport Mode' or 'Tow Mode' appears on the display—this releases the transmission parking pawl electronically
- If Tow Mode is accessible, the vehicle can now roll freely in neutral
