The 2022 Dacia Jogger with automatic transmission uses a conventional console-mounted shifter with electronic shift-lock and a manual override release.

⚠️ Chock the wheels first — neutral means the car can roll. Set the parking brake while you work, never stand downhill of the vehicle, and try a 12-volt jump before any override: power fixes most stuck-in-park problems instantly.
The procedure
- Ensure the vehicle is on level ground and apply the parking brake firmly
- Turn the ignition to ACC or ON position if possible (if battery has residual charge)
- Locate the shift-lock override—look for a small rectangular or circular cap near the shifter base, typically on the left or right side of the lever housing
- Use a small flat-head screwdriver or similar tool to carefully pry off the override cap
- Insert the screwdriver into the override slot and press down firmly
- While holding the override down, move the shifter from Park to Neutral
- If electronic parking brake is present and engaged, it may require 12V power to release; if stuck, vehicle must be loaded onto flatbed
Shift-lock override location
Small cap-covered slot adjacent to the shifter lever base on the center console; commonly on the left side of the shifter housing
With zero electrical power
With no 12V power, the mechanical shift-lock override should still function. If the Jogger is equipped with electronic parking brake (EPB), it may remain engaged without power. Attempt to jump-start the 12V battery minimally to release EPB, or use a flatbed. Traditional mechanical handbrake models can be released manually.
