🚨 2022 Ferrari SF90 Stradale: Emergency Neutral
The 2022 SF90 Stradale uses Ferrari's push-button gear selector system with buttons for R, Auto, and Manual modes on the center console.

⚠️ Chock the wheels first — neutral means the car can roll. Set the parking brake while you work, never stand downhill of the vehicle, and try a 12-volt jump before any override: power fixes most stuck-in-park problems instantly.
The procedure
- Ensure parking brake is engaged and vehicle is secure
- Understand that as a plug-in hybrid, this vehicle has BOTH a high-voltage traction battery AND a 12V auxiliary battery - you need the 12V system functional
- Locate the small shift lock override cover on the center console near or below the gear selector button panel
- Carefully pry off the override cover with a small flathead screwdriver
- Insert the mechanical key (stored in key fob) or screwdriver into the override slot
- Press and hold the override while attempting to press the Auto button to engage neutral
- If the 12V system is completely dead, you must jump-start the 12V battery first (see notes below)
- Once neutral is engaged, release the parking brake

With zero electrical power
The SF90 has a 12V auxiliary battery that powers the transmission controls. Jump-start terminals are located in the front luggage compartment area. Connect jumper cables to the positive and negative posts to restore 12V power. Do NOT attempt to use the high-voltage hybrid battery to jump-start. Even with the high-voltage system charged, if the 12V battery is dead, the gear selector will not function. After jump-starting 12V system, use override procedure to select neutral.
⚡ EV / hybrid warning
CRITICAL: The SF90 Stradale is a plug-in hybrid with a high-voltage battery system. For flatbed transport, the vehicle MUST be loaded with all four wheels off the ground - never tow with any wheels on the ground as this can spin the electric motors and damage the hybrid system. Ensure eDrive mode is NOT active before transport. If the hybrid system is damaged or compromised, do not attempt to move the vehicle - contact Ferrari roadside assistance immediately.
