🚨 2024 GMC Hummer EV SUV: Emergency Neutral

The procedure
- Ensure vehicle is on a level surface and wheel chocks are in place.
- Attempt to power on the vehicle by pressing the brake pedal and pushing the Power button - even with a weak battery, you may get enough power to shift.
- If the 12V system has any power at all, press and hold the brake pedal firmly, then press the 'N' (Neutral) button on the shift control panel.
- If there is absolutely no 12V power: locate the 12V battery jump-start terminals under the hood (positive terminal under red cover on passenger side, negative ground point nearby).
- Connect a jump pack or jumper cables to provide temporary 12V power to the vehicle systems.
- With 12V power restored, press the Power button (you do not need to fully boot the vehicle), press and hold the brake, then press 'N' for Neutral.
- If the shift interlock is failed but 12V power is present: look for a small shift lock override access - typically a small covered slot or cap near the base of the shift button panel on the console.
- Insert a small flathead screwdriver or the key blade into the override slot while pressing the 'N' button.
- Once in Neutral, the vehicle can be moved or loaded onto a flatbed.

With zero electrical power
With zero 12V power, you MUST jump-start the 12V battery using the under-hood terminals before the electronic shifter will function. The Hummer EV cannot be shifted without 12V power to the body control systems.
