The procedure
- Ensure the vehicle is on a flat surface and set the parking brake
- Attempt to power up the vehicle by pressing the brake and pushing the start button if any 12V power remains
- If the vehicle powers up, press the brake pedal and select Neutral from the shifter
- If no power is available, locate the shift lock override - check the center console area around the shifter base for a small cap-covered slot
- Remove the cap and insert a small flathead screwdriver into the override slot
- Press down on the override while moving the shifter to Neutral position
- If vehicle still cannot be shifted, proceed to Transport Mode activation: access the vehicle's touchscreen if any auxiliary power is available and navigate to Service/Tow Mode settings
- If no electrical power at all, the vehicle MUST be transported on a flatbed with all wheels off the ground
