🚨 2021 Lamborghini Huracan: Emergency Neutral
The 2021 Huracán uses a push-button gear selector system mounted on the center console with buttons for R, N, and D/Auto (P is automatic when ignition is off).

⚠️ Chock the wheels first — neutral means the car can roll. Set the parking brake while you work, never stand downhill of the vehicle, and try a 12-volt jump before any override: power fixes most stuck-in-park problems instantly.
The procedure
- Ensure the vehicle is on a flat surface with wheel chocks in place—the Huracán sits very low and can roll easily.
- Turn the ignition to ON position (push start button without brake pedal, or use emergency key access if battery is completely dead).
- With ignition ON, press and hold the brake pedal firmly.
- Press the 'N' (Neutral) button on the center console selector—it should illuminate and engage neutral.
- If 'N' button does not respond due to brake-light switch failure, you will need to access the shift-lock override.
- Locate the small rectangular override cover on the center console near the gear selector buttons—it may be between the selector and the storage area.
- Carefully pry off the override cover using a trim tool or flathead screwdriver wrapped in tape.
- Insert a small screwdriver or key into the override slot and press down while simultaneously pressing the 'N' button.
- Once in neutral, the vehicle can be moved—have a second person push or use a tow vehicle, as the Huracán is heavy despite its appearance.

With zero electrical power
With zero 12V power: Use the emergency mechanical key (inside the key fob) to unlock the driver door. You cannot shift to neutral electronically without at least ignition power. The 7-speed dual-clutch transmission requires electrical power to disengage park. If the 12V battery is completely dead and cannot be jump-started, the vehicle must be loaded onto a flatbed with dollies under the front wheels or with the front end lifted. Do NOT attempt to flat-tow. Consider accessing the front trunk (frunk) to jump-start the battery—the battery is located under the front hood.
