- Attempt to turn the ignition to ON position (push start button without brake if keyless, or turn key)
- Press and hold the brake pedal firmly

- Remove the small plastic cap covering the override slot (may require prying with fingernail or small screwdriver)
- Insert a small flat-blade screwdriver, pen, or similar tool into the override slot and press down firmly
