Preparation

The TCM should seat fully against the transmission case without excessive force. Verify the seal is not pinched or displaced.

    Thread the TCM mounting bolts by hand to ensure proper thread engagement. Once all bolts are started, tighten them in a criss-cross pattern using a 13mm socket and torque wrench to 14.0 Nm (10.0 lb-ft). Do not overtighten as this can damage the transmission case threads or crack the TCM housing.

    Reconnect electrical connector
    Apply a small amount of dielectric grease to the connector terminals if desired. Align the main harness connector with the TCM and push firmly until it clicks into place.     Lower vehicle and reconnect battery
