Lift wiper arms away from windshield until they lock in the vertical service position

Procedure

Remove driver side wiper blade
Locate the release tab on the wiper blade assembly where it connects to the wiper arm hook. Press or pull the release tab while sliding the blade assembly downward along the wiper arm hook to disengage it. The blade will slide off the J-hook end of the arm.

Remove passenger side wiper blade
Repeat the release procedure on the passenger side wiper blade. Press the release tab and slide the blade assembly downward off the wiper arm hook.

Inspect wiper arms
With blades removed, check the wiper arm springs for proper tension and inspect the hook ends for damage or corrosion. The arms should remain in the raised position without support.

Install new driver side wiper blade
Align the new driver side wiper blade adapter hook opening with the wiper arm J-hook. Slide the blade assembly upward onto the hook until the release tab clicks into the locked position. Gently tug the blade to confirm it is fully seated and locked.

Install new passenger side wiper blade
Align the new passenger side wiper blade adapter hook opening with the wiper arm J-hook. Slide the blade assembly upward onto the hook until the release tab clicks into the locked position. Verify the blade is securely locked by gently pulling on it.

Return wiper arms to rest position
Carefully lower both wiper arms back down to the windshield. Do not allow the arms to snap down forcefully as this may damage the new blades or windshield.
