Preparation

    Using the T25 Torx driver or appropriate tool, carefully remove the MAP sensor mounting screws. Typically there are 2 screws securing the sensor to the manifold. Keep screws in a safe location for reinstallation. Gently wiggle the sensor to break the seal if stuck.

    Carefully pull the MAP sensor straight out from the mounting location. Avoid twisting or applying excessive force. If the sensor is seized, gently rock it back and forth while pulling. Remove and discard the old O-ring seal from the sensor port.

    Clean the MAP sensor mounting area on the intake manifold thoroughly using shop towels. Remove any debris, old O-ring material, or carbon deposits from the sensor port.     Install the new O-ring seal onto the new MAP sensor, ensuring it is seated properly in the groove. Lightly lubricate the O-ring with clean engine oil if needed to ease installation. Verify the O-ring is not twisted or damaged.

    Carefully insert the new MAP sensor straight into the mounting port, ensuring proper alignment. Push firmly until the sensor seats completely against the mounting surface. Do not force or cross-thread the sensor.

Reassembly
