Preparation

  1. Park vehicle on level surface and apply parking brake

    Bleed cooling system
    Start the engine and allow it to reach normal operating temperature with the heater on maximum. Watch the coolant level and add coolant as needed while air purges from the system. Rev engine to 2500 RPM several times to help purge air bubbles. Once engine reaches operating temperature and cooling fan cycles, turn off engine and allow to cool. Recheck coolant level when cold and top off as necessary.
