Preparation

Pass wire into trunk through rear seat back or through existing factory wire passages. Install inline fuse holder within 18 inches of battery positive terminal, but do not install fuse yet.

   Locate factory ground point on driver side trunk floor or rear seat brace - look for existing bolt with ground wire. Remove paint or coating from contact area using sandpaper or wire brush to expose bare metal. Attach ground wire ring terminal to this point. If using factory ground bolt, ensure clean metal-to-metal contact on both wire terminal and bolt threads.

Mount amplifier using self-tapping screws or bolts with backing plates. On 2018-2024 Camry, the driver side trunk wall provides solid mounting with minimal trunk space intrusion.

   Connect power and ground to amplifier

Identify positive and negative speaker wires using wiring diagram or multimeter. Connect LOC input wires to rear speaker wires using T-taps or by splicing. Mount LOC securely in trunk area. Run RCA cables from LOC output to amplifier RCA inputs. Use quality shielded RCA cables and route away from power wire to minimize noise.

   Connect remote turn-on wire
   Connect amplifier remote turn-on wire (typically blue wire) to LOC remote output, or tap into factory head unit's power antenna/amplifier turn-on wire if accessible. On 2018-2024 Camry, the remote turn-on can be sourced from the factory amplifier behind the glove box, or use the LOC's 12V sensing circuit if equipped.

   Position and secure subwoofer enclosure
   Place subwoofer enclosure in desired trunk location - typically against rear seat back or in corner. Ensure enclosure does not interfere with trunk close or spare tire access if needed. Connect speaker wire from amplifier subwoofer output to subwoofer terminals, observing correct polarity.

   Initial power-up and system check
   Before reconnecting battery, verify all connections are secure and no bare wires are exposed. Double-check polarity on all power, ground, and speaker connections. Reconnect battery negative terminal and torque to specification. Install fuse in inline fuse holder near battery. Turn ignition to ACC position and verify amplifier power LED illuminates. Reassembly

2. Reinstall rear deck speakers and grilles if removed

4. Route wires in existing factory loom where possible for clean appearance
5. Replace any panels removed during installation

Verification
