- Park vehicle on level surface and apply parking brake
- Place wheel chocks behind rear wheels
- Allow transmission to cool completely if vehicle was recently driven
- Raise front of vehicle with floor jack and support on jack stands at frame rails

- Locate transmission pan on underside of transmission between engine and transfer case area
Procedure
- 1Drain transmission fluidPosition drain pan beneath transmission pan. Starting from the rear corners, loosen all transmission pan bolts approximately 2-3 turns but do not remove.
