Preparation

    Reinstall the wheel and hand-tighten the lug nuts. Remove the jack stands and carefully lower the vehicle until the tires contact the ground but the full weight is not yet on the suspension. This simulates ride height for torquing the control arm bushings.

    Torque control arm mounting bolts at ride height
    With the vehicle at ride height (tires on ground, suspension loaded but vehicle not fully lowered off jack), torque the front and rear upper control arm-to-frame bolts to specification. Use an 18mm wrench to prevent the nut from turning while torquing the bolt head with a torque wrench.
