Warnings
⚠Allow headlights to cool for at least 10 minutes before attempting replacement if vehicle was recently driven.
⚠Never touch the glass portion of halogen bulbs with bare hands. Oil from skin causes hot spots that lead to premature bulb failure.

Parts
- H11 halogen headlight bulb × 2 — H11 55W (OEM: 90981-13051 or equivalent)
Preparation
- Park vehicle on level surface and turn off engine
- Allow headlight assemblies to cool if vehicle was recently operated
- Open and secure the hood
- Identify the low beam bulb access covers on the rear of each headlight assembly
Procedure
- 1Access driver side headlight bulbLocate the round rubber dust cover on the back of the driver side headlight assembly. Grip the outer edge of the dust cover and rotate it counterclockwise approximately 1/4 turn, then pull it straight back to remove. Set the dust cover aside in a clean location.
- 2Remove driver side bulb connectorLocate the electrical connector attached to the base of the bulb. Press the release tab on the connector while pulling it straight back away from the bulb. Do not twist or pull on the wiring harness itself.
- 3Remove driver side bulbThe bulb is held in place by a wire retaining clip. Press the wire clip inward toward the bulb base and push it upward to unhook it from the headlight housing. Swing the clip out of the way, then pull the bulb straight out of the reflector housing. Avoid touching the reflector surface inside the housing.
- 4Install new driver side bulbUsing a clean cloth or while wearing gloves, remove the new H11 bulb from its packaging without touching the glass. Align the tabs on the bulb base with the slots in the headlight housing and insert the bulb fully into the socket. Swing the wire retaining clip back into position and hook it securely, ensuring it presses firmly against the bulb base.
- 5Reconnect driver side connector and coverPush the electrical connector onto the bulb base until it clicks into place. Verify the connection is secure by gently tugging on the connector. Reinstall the rubber dust cover by aligning it with the housing opening and rotating clockwise 1/4 turn until it seats properly. Ensure the cover forms a complete seal around the opening.
- 6Access passenger side headlight bulbMove to the passenger side of the vehicle. Locate the round rubber dust cover on the back of the passenger side headlight assembly. The passenger side may have slightly restricted access due to engine components. Grip the outer edge of the dust cover and rotate it counterclockwise approximately 1/4 turn, then pull it straight back to remove.
- 7Remove passenger side bulb connectorPress the release tab on the electrical connector while pulling it straight back away from the bulb. You may need to reach around engine components for better access. Work carefully to avoid damaging nearby components.
- 8Remove passenger side bulbPress the wire retaining clip inward toward the bulb base and push it upward to unhook it from the headlight housing. Swing the clip out of the way, then pull the bulb straight out of the reflector housing.
- 9Install new passenger side bulbUsing a clean cloth or while wearing gloves, remove the new H11 bulb from its packaging. Align the tabs on the bulb base with the slots in the headlight housing and insert the bulb fully. Swing the wire retaining clip back into position and hook it securely to lock the bulb in place.
- 10Reconnect passenger side connector and coverPush the electrical connector onto the bulb base until it clicks. Verify the connection is secure. Reinstall the rubber dust cover by aligning it properly and rotating clockwise 1/4 turn until fully seated and sealed.
Reassembly
- Verify both dust covers are properly sealed to prevent moisture intrusion
- Ensure all electrical connectors are fully seated and latched
- Clean any fingerprints or debris from headlight lenses with a microfiber cloth
Verification
- Start the engine and turn on the headlights to verify both low beams illuminate
- Activate high beams briefly to confirm no warning lights appear on the instrument cluster
- Check headlight aim pattern on a wall or garage door from 25 feet away to ensure even beam pattern from both sides
- Verify no condensation or gaps are visible around the dust covers
- Test that headlights turn off completely when switched off
